BABS Dial-a-Bus is an alternative transport service for people who find public transport difficult to use or access.

BABS was established in 2000 by John Parsons (a former bus driver) who was motivated by the inadequacy of transportation for the disabled and elderly in the Buckie area.

The Buckie-based service links users along a 20-mile rural stretch of coast in north east Scotland. The service enables those who might otherwise be housebound to enjoy shopping and social trips and helps to improve their quality of life. Trained drivers and passenger assistants collect passengers from their homes and take them back again.

Membership is free and open to anyone eligible for a Concession Travel Card on the grounds of disability or seniority of age and who finds it difficult to use public transport.
